National Skip-The-Straw Day

Around 400 million plastic straws are used every day in the US, and they can take up to 200 years to decompose. Because of this, plastic straws and other single-use plastics pollute our oceans, rivers, and lakes.

February 28 is National Straw Skipping Day. This day encourages Americans to avoid single-use plastics instead opt for reusable and renewable options.
